Toronto Aces & Aros is mostly about building meaningful & sustainable local ace and arospec community–we like to get together, talk about stuff and have fun.
We schedule regular meetups mostly via our Past Discussion Topics and Discord server (email us for the info).
We also post up-to-date information on the Toronto Aces & Aros’ tumblr.
We usually have at least 2 meetups a month for ace and/or arospec community members– one social event and one discussion. Sometimes there are additional meetups, and anyone in our googlegroup can propose and organise a get-together!
The Toronto Aces & Aros Collective is responsible for co-ordinating regular monthly meetups. If you have suggestions for discussion topics or activities, of if you’re interested in facilitating or co-facilitating a monthly discussion, contact us (toronto.aces.and.aros@gmail.com).
Accessibility:
Since COVID, we have switched over to online meetups and are considering a mix of online and in-person meetups. We aim for a combination of text-only and voice/video meetups (with cameras optional). We also take breaks and invite people to come and go outside of that as they need to or feel appropriate.
[We host our discussion meetups in wheelchair accessible venues with all-gender washrooms and try to keep social meetups as accessible as possible. We also understand that making it possible and comfortable for people to participate in our events goes far beyond making sure people are able to enter the space.
