Toronto Aces & Aros’ Education & Outreach Team develops educational workshops specifically for every audience– on topics ranging from “introductory ace 101” to more advanced discussions of social structures, relationships and consent. (Check out some of our past events.)

Our approach is guided generally by anti-oppressive principles and strives to centre intersectional analsyses in our work. Check out our Mission Statement for more details.

We host occasional Toronto Aces & Aros public events for which we provide ASL interpretation whenever we are able to do so.

Additionally, we are pleased to be able to offer (upon request):

  • facilitation of ace workshops and presentations for conferences or specific groups
  • participation in panel discussion and other events
  • cooperation with allied groups to co-sponsor relevant events
  • individual consulting with groups about how to become more ace and/or arospec friendly.

If you would like to invite Toronto Aces & Aros to facilitate a workshop, participate in related activities, or help your group become more welcoming and inclusive of ace and/or arospec people, please e-mail the Education & Outreach Team (toronto.aces.and.aros@gmail.com).

We sometimes provide workshops & consulting free of charge and are eager to do so for other grass-roots / community groups with limited resources. However, since we are ourselves a grass-roots community group without any source of funding, we do appreciate and request honoraria or other forms of compensation (e.g., trade for printing) wherever possible, particularly from non-profits (or businesses), or other organisations that have some formal source of funding.

Money from workshop honoraria has enabled us to operate in a more accessible way (e.g., offering printed resources & providing ASL interpretation at some of our events).
